Recipe - Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls

Ingredients:

(Makes 12-15 balls)

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup chocolate or vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (optional, for chocolate flavor)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional for added fiber)
  • 1–2 tbsp milk (almond, oat, or regular), if needed for consistency

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine oats, protein powder, cocoa powder, and chia seeds.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients
Add in the peanut butter and honey. Stir until a thick dough forms. If the mixture is too dry or crumbly, add a splash of milk one tablespoon at a time until it binds.
  3. Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in chocolate chips for added sweetness and texture.
  4. Roll into Balls
Use your hands or a tablespoon to scoop and roll the mixture into balls (about 1-inch size).
  5. Chill to Set
Place the balls on a tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Store
Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 7 days — or freeze for longer shelf life.
